The following is the regular process of obtaining a visa to Kazakhstan:

Certain countries can enter Kazakhstan without any visa. Please follow the link below or download the document to find out the visa regime of Kazakhstan with other countries. Look at ordinary passport unless you have special diplomatic or service passports.

Step 2: If you need a visa, find out if you have a consulate of Kazakhstan in your country?
Currently, Kazakhstan maintains 55 embassies abroad as well as 59 consulates and 2 other representations. The Kazakhstan capital Astana hosts 62 embassies, and in addition there are 40 consulates and 6 other representations in Kazakhstan. It may sound a bit counterintuitive, but if you don’t have a consulate of Kazakhstan in your country, you are lucky because you can obtain a visa right at the airport upon arrival. Visas can be issued at all the international airports located in Almaty, Astana, Aktau, Atyrau, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Uralsk. There will be special IPHO visa booth at the Astana International Airport. We recommend you to arrive to Astana. However, if you are arriving to international airports other than Astana please let the organizing committee know in advance so that we can notify airports of your arrival. In case if you don’t have a consulate you can go directly to Step 5 “VISA SUPPORT”.
